Sociolinguistics Symposium 19 will take place in the Henry Ford Building of Freie Universität Berlin. It is located at the junction of Garystraße and Boltzmannstraße, between the subway stops Thielplatz and Oskar-Helene-Heim (line U3) in the southwestern part of Berlin.

The Henry Ford Building was built between 1952 and 1954 according to the plans of the Berlin architects, Franz Heinrich Sobotka and Gustav Müller. It was named after Henry Ford II, who arranged the donation of 8.1 million Deutschmarks by the U.S.-American Ford Foundation for the construction of this building complex.
